This hollow sculpture represents the fragility and plight of any migrant today, whether human or other. Narwhals and people both face a changing landscape in their travels from resource to resource, and increasingly, the existence of safe havens on their travels are unpredictable. The global climate crisis makes a precarious migratory existence much more dangerous, and many travelers find themselves sitting on their heels in limbo, waiting for chaotic conditions to break their way.
